We are excited to welcome Static Phantoms, an exciting new duo consisting of Dedric Moore and Krysztof Nemeth. Taking a temporary detour from the bands they're known for — Monta At Odds, The Republic Tigers, and Emmaline Twist — the two are experimenting in a sparse yet active sound that connects the innovation of '80s post-punk and synth-pop to our present tense. Bathed In Blue Light, is the first single, a nostalgic swirl led by Dedric's assured synth flourishes and Krysztof's signature baritone guitar. A gentle breakbeat propels the melodies of Krysztof's vocal as the lyrics appropriately mention "translucent waking dreams." It's an ear-wormy merger of classic OMD and New Order that's time-traveled to the modern age.
