Black Light Animals cover Brandy classic, I Wanna Be Down.

Black Light Animals combine a love of soul music,  fuzzed out guitars, hip hop beats, and old Italian movie scores, the quintet released their debut record, “Playboys of the Western World” to critical acclaim in 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic.

Their latest release, I Wanna Be Down, is their psyched out take on Brandy’s R&B classic, I Wanna Be Down, featuring phased out vocals and guitar spacey synthesizers, and hip hop low end. This has been one of their favorite songs to play live and acts as a precursor for the sound to come on their new record.
