‘Pavilion’ is a groovy and funky effort that employs a pulsating beat that anchors the track while Jess Wright’s vocals soar beautifully over the top.  - Overblown

Today we have the release of the second single from Chicago’s Sally Haze called “Pavilion.” This week we have partnered with the band for all proceeds from sallyhaze.bandcamp.com. The single this week will go to BraveSpaceAlliance, a Black-led, Trans-led LGBTQ center working on the South Side of Chicago. In addition, the band and the label will be making donations to BSA.

With a name like Sally Haze, you might think this Chicago act is a solo artist, but it’s actually the project of the trans-continental couple, Jess and Will Wright; the name is a sly literary reference.  Jess, born and raised in Chicago, and Will, born in Leeds, England, began writing and recording as Sally Haze in their home studio in 2019. 'Pavilion,' the second single from Sally Haze's Wet Dream EP, fades in on a pulsating rhythm section, hypnotic guitars, and ethereal yet propulsive vocals. Its relentless forward motion only lets up once the track has reached its cacophonous climax.
