Progeny makes his TRM debut on beat tape Waterfruit

Progeny is a world-renowned Seattle hip-hop producer. Think of him as your favorite producer's kind of beatmaker. Erick Frias, the mastermind behind the beats, was born in the mid-'80s and came of age in the '90s. Frias' perspective lands right in the center of hip hop’s old and new guard. His latest EP, Waterfruit, is a lo-fi journey into the 90's style beats. Instead of using his trusty MPC for the EP, he used a Zoom ST224 essentially a poor man's SP1200 to get a more raw crunch and sound. The EP is full of his brand of sad beats with tropical vibes.
