Static Phantoms release new single Ghostwalk

“A supernatural flash of new wave and dream pop, “Ghostwalk” takes the torch from genre titans Tears for Fears and New Order, or perhaps their more contemporary counterparts like Small Black, DIIV and the Horrors. While introductions aren’t always easy, listening to Static Phantoms feels like meeting an old friend for the first time.” - Big Takeover

Static Phantoms is the duo of Dedric Moore and Krysztof Nemeth — both oftentimes found within Monta At Odds, The Republic Tigers, and Emmaline Twist and we are all pleased to present the dynamic new single, Ghostwalk. Static Phantoms pays homage to the spirit of early '80s post-punk and synth-pop, capturing a sense of innovation and sonic freedom that's refreshing in these stifling times. Dedric's electrifying synth chords and drum rhythms sync effortlessly with Krysztof's guitar and vocal lines, evoking a mood steeped in memory and promise. "When you walk into the room," sings Krysztof in the song's hook as layers of instrumentation and texture blanket the listener in warm repose. This music seeps decades, spilling forward into impassioned days to come.
